Primary School Two

Two new gardens were designed in previously unused areas of this primary school as part of a transformation of the grounds as a whole. The first is a wildlife garden, a dedicated outdoor classroom where the children can get up close to nature. It includes a new pond with pond-dipping platform, ‘creepy crawly’ towers with habitats for mini-beasts, a log pile and sustainable, biodiverse planting to attract birds and insects all the year round.

Elsewhere, a new nursery garden provides a play area with astroturf and new play equipment, planting areas for the children to experiment in, and an extensive new raised border with vibrant perennials, fluffy grasses and scented plants.
